Annual Sunoco/NASCAR Day at the Races
Objective
Activate and leverage Sunoco's NASCAR partnership by hosting 1,300 Sunoco employees and family members for a memorable day of fun and great racing at the Dover International Speedway.Strategy
- Create a fun family atmosphere and a spirit of employee goodwill.
- Offer exclusive access and extras, including guided pit tours and special racing celebrity appearances.
- Provide Sunoco-branded gifts to help guests remember and enjoy the day.
Results
- FOX announcer Mike Joy emceed driver appearances with Jimmie Johnson and team Evernham: Kasey Kahne, Elliott Sadler and Scott Riggs. Kyle Petty made a special appearance in the Sunoco suite before the race, as well.
- Kahne’s No. 9 Dodge show car and the Sunoco/OCC bike were on display inside the tent for up-close and personal viewing and pictures.
- Each guest received a gift bag, a Sunoco seat cushion, earpugs and a race day kit.
- Guests were hosted within a Sunoco-themed tent and enjoyed breakfast, guided track tours, and a DJ.
